WOW! … That's pretty much how I would sum up Glen and David's utterly incredible civil partnership at The May Fair Hotel.
The boys really did go all out to put together a day that no-one will ever forget and they succeeded.
Not only was the civil partnership in one of London's most stylish hotels, but the entertainment the guys lined up was incredible. Two incredible singers, three dancing drag queens, go-go dancers, some topless male hosts and possibly the most impressive first dance choreography I've ever seen, this day was spectacular.
During his speech David mentioned that he and Glen hadn't been to a gay wedding before and wondered if theirs was a bit low key, the result in cheer told it all, everyone there absolutely loved it.
All that said though, there was a real emotional heart to this fantastic civil partnership. The boys invited their lovely family and friends and the love in the room was tangible and as usual there were moments when I was emotional behind the camera.
I was lucky enough to work with the boys in the summer when I photographed "the legal bit" of their civil partnership and we did a great lifestyle shoot on Clapham Common. I knew we were going to get some great shots on this fabulous day and I wasn't disappointed. I loved working with Glen and David and as ever, feel very lucky to be a civil partnership photographer!
